Rebecca Sturm, 5540 Miller-Paul Road, Westerville, OH 43082 is seeking a variance to rezone 2.114 acres in a 21.539 acre plot from AR-1 to FR-1 for a new family home to be built on Farm Lot 2, 5540 Miller-Paul Road, Westerville, OH 43082, parcel ID # 316-310-03-016-000.

The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 7:15 pm at the Harlem Township Administration Building Community Room, 3883 South State Route 605, Galena, Ohio 43021. The hearing is open to the public and available via Zoom.

The Harlem Township Board of Trustees will be holding a special meeting on Monday May 6th, 2024, at 9:00 am at the Harlem Township Building, 3883 South State Rt 605, Galena, Ohio 43021. 

This meeting will be to review resumes submitted for the appointment of One (1) Township Trustee.

 The meeting is open to the public and is also available on Zoom.

Due to the nature of the meeting, Trustees may move into executive session to review resumes.

Qualifications per ORC 503.24: the board of township trustees shall appoint a person having the qualifications of a resident and elector to fill such vacancy for the unexpired term or until a successor is elected.

All resumes will be due in the office no later than End of Day on May 3^rd. Resumes should be submitted electronically to admin@harlemtwp.com or dropped off at the Harlem Township Building, 3883 South State Rt 605, Galena, Ohio 43021.

The Harlem Township Division of Fire is currently accepting applications for Full time Firefighter / Paramedic position. The position is a 24 / 48 schedule with benefits including 7 earned day off (EDO) days per year. The annual salary begins at $59,254.00.

Interested candidates shall possess a valid Ohio driver's license, State of Ohio Firefighter II and Paramedic certifications. Consideration will be given to candidates who are in the final months of Paramedic training, with a contingency of passing National Registry testing and having certification completed by September 1, 2024. Hiring is also contingent upon successful completion of a background check and required physical.

JOB POSTING

The Harlem Township Division of Fire will be accepting applications for the position of Full time Firefighter / Paramedic position, beginning Wednesday April 24, 2024, through Wednesday May 15, 2024.

This is to fill 3 immediate openings that exists within the fire division. Interested parties should submit a resume with a cover letter, indicating interest, an employment application, along with proof of current certifications no later than Wednesday May 15th, at 5:00 pm.

State of Ohio FF I & II certification

State of Ohio – Paramedic preferred

Successful candidate shall be expected to qualify as driver/equipment operator for all apparatus and items in the inventory of the Harlem Township Division of Fire.

Harlem Township is seeking resident volunteers to fill vacancies on public boards and commissions. Serving on a board or commission provides valuable service to the community as members are generally asked to review matters of public concern and make recommendations about how the Township should proceed to the Trustees. Depending on appointment, topics will include planning, zoning variances and items of community services.
