Members Present: Joni Manson, Alan Czako, Tom Nied

Members Absent: Mike Kabler, Robin Lobenstein

Ms. Manson stated she had been notified by the Chairman there were no new applications to be presented tonight.

Ms. Manson stated Dale Fling had dropped off the Zoning Inspector report. Copies were passed out to Commission members. Permits issued from March 1, 2018 through March 28, 2018 included 5 Single Family Residences, 2 Accessory Buildings, 1 Deck and 1 Pool.

Commission members reviewed the minutes of the March 12, 2018 minutes for corrections. The minutes were approved as submitted.

Commission members reviewed Draft 3, Article 28 for any final corrections. Mr. Nied made a motion to approve the proposed changes to Draft 3, Article 28. Mr. Czako seconded the motion. Ms. Manson asked for a roll call vote on the motion, all aye. Motion carried. Copies will be made of the proposed language changes and forwarded to the Board of Zoning Appeals and to the Trustees for comments and questions before the proposed language is prepared for the application process.

Commission members reviewed Draft 5, Article 8 for final corrections. Mr. Nied made a motion to approve the proposed changes to Draft 5, Article 8. Mr. Czako seconded the motion. Ms. Manson asked for a roll call vote on the motion, all aye. Motion carried. Copies of the proposed changes will be forwarded to the Board of Appeals and the Trustees for their input so the language can be prepared for the application process.

Ms. Manson stated Mr. Kabler would be meeting with the Trustees to address needed changes to the Township website. Ms. Manson asked Commission members for concerns they had to pass along to Mr. Kabler before the meeting.

Mr. Nied stated he had prepared a list of things he felt should be on the website. Mr. Nied stated there should be a statement as to what the Zoning Commission does. Mr. Nied stated an agenda prior to each meeting should be posted on the web page. Mr. Nied continued that the Zoning Inspector reports and meeting minutes once they are approved should be placed on the website. There should be a link to the Zoning Resolution and application forms. There should be a schedule of fees for zoning applications listed. Mr. Nied stated there should be access to the Zoning Map for the Township. Mr. Nied stated the notices of zoning changes that are published in the newspaper should be shown on the website. Mr. Nied stated he also felt there should be copies of proposed applications posted on the site.

Ms. Manson stated she was not sure how far the Trustees would take these requests as there is a cost for any and all changes that are made.

Ms. Manson stated that Dale Fling and Dave Jackson have been looking at the Zoning Resolution under various Planned Districts and noticed there are a lot of differences in language from one district to the next. Mr. Fling had asked that the Zoning Commission take a look at

the inconsistencies in the language.

Ms. Manson asked if there was anything further to come before the Commission. Mr. Nied

made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Czako seconded the motion. Ms. Manson asked for a voice

vote on the motion, all aye. Motion carried. The April 2, 2018 monthly meeting was adjourned at 8:43 p.m.
