April 1, 2019

Chair, Mike Kabler, called the April 1, 2019 monthly meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Kabler asked for a roll call of members.

Members Present: Mike Kabler, Tom Nied, Alan Czako, Robin Lobenstein, Joni Manson

Alternate Absent: Bill Needham

Secretary: Sherrie Steele

Zoning Inspector: Not Present

Public Present: Peggy McGeorge, 10240 Center Village Road, Galena, Ohio 43021

Mr. Kabler stated the Commission would begin tonight with the presentation of two applications.

Peggy McGeorge presented the secretary with two applications to rezone two lots, The first lot consists of

5.292 acres, identified as Tract 5 and was presented with check# 0096 for$ 500.00 for the application fee and check # 0097 for$ 661.50 for the acreage fees. The second lot consists of 5.668 acres, identified as Tract 7

and was presented with check# 0098 for$ 500.00 for the application fee and check#' 0099 for $ 708.50 for

the acreage fees.

Commission members assigned Tract 5 hearing number HTZC 19-06 and set the hearing for Monday, April 22, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. Tract 7 was assigned hearing number HTZC 19-07 and the hearing was set for April 22, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. Commission members noted each application contained four signatures.

Mrs. McGeorge thanked the Commission and left the meeting.

Commission members discussed the Master Plan and Mr. Kabler stated the Trustees would initiate the work to update the Master Plan after they talk to Scott Sanders of Delaware County Regional Planning Commission.

Commission members discussed that the Master Plan is a vision for the Township and that only the Zoning

Resolution governs the Township.

Commission members discussed drainage and septic issues in the Township and noted these items are

handled through other agencies in the County and are not the responsibility of zoning.

Commission members next discussed that the reformatted Zoning Resolution is to bring the resolution up to date to meet County standards for reformatting. Commission members completed the application form to

hold a hearing on the reformatted Zoning Resolution. The application was assigned hearing HTZC 19-08 and a hearing date was set for April 22, 2019 at 7:15 p.m.

Commission members next discussed that they will try to accept applications only at their Monthly meetings as the Workshop meetings will be designated for working on updating the Master Plan. Mr. Kabler will notify Jon Trainer and Dale Fling in regards to this matter.

Commission members reviewed minutes for corrections. Ms. Manson made a motion to approve the minutes of the March 11, 2019 Workshop meeting as corrected. Mr. Czako seconded the motion. Mr. Kabler asked for a voice vote on the motion, all aye. Motion carried. Ms. Manson made a motion to approve the minutes of

the Zak Preliminary meeting, dated March 11, 2019 as corrected. Mr. Nied seconded the motion. Mr. Kabler asked for a voice vote on the motion, all aye. Motion carried.

Mr. Kabler asked if there was any further business to come before the Commission. Mr. Nied made a motion to adjourn. Ms. Manson seconded the motion. Mr. Kabler asked for a voice vote on the motion, all aye.

Motion carried. The April 1, 2019 monthly meeting was adjourned at 9:35 p.m.
