Chair, Mike Kabler, called hearing HTZC 19-08 to order at 7:15 p.m. Mr. Kabler asked for a roll call of members.

Mr. Kabler introduced Commission members and the secretary. Mr. Kabler explained the rules and hearing procedures. Mr. Kabler opened the hearing and asked the secretary to read the

public notice.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Harlem Township Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on the Reformatted Harlem Township Zoning Resolution to meet Delaware County standards.

The hearing will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 7:15 p.m. at the Harlem Township

Firehouse, 3883 South State Route 605, Galena, Ohio 43021. The hearing is open to the public.

The application and accompanying documents are available for review by contacting Sherrie

Steele, Zoning Secretary at 740-965-6426.

Mike Kabler, Chairman

Mr. Kabler asked the secretary if the application was on the correct form. The secretary stated the application was on the correct form. Mr. Kabler asked the secretary if the applicant/agent had signed the application. The secretary stated both the Chair and Vice Chair had signed the application.

Mr. Kabler asked Commission members if there were any errors noted. Commission members found no errors.

Mr. Kabler asked the secretary for the recommendation from Delaware County Regional

Planning Commission. The secretary stated that DCRPC does not meet until April 25, 2019. The secretary had talked with DCRPC secretary who will have the minutes to the Township no later than April 29, 2019.

Mr. Kabler opened the hearing to the Commission and asked if there were any comments.

Commission members had no comments.

Mr. Kabler opened the hearing to the public and asked if they had any questions. Mr. Kabler summarized what the Zoning Commission is doing as some members of the public arrived after the hearing was started.

Peggy McGeorge asked if the pages would be numbered in the new formatting. Mr. Kabler

stated numbered pages would be a part of the new formatting.

Mr. Kabler asked if there were any further comments from the public. Being none, Mr. Kabler closed the public portion of the hearing.

Mr. Kabler opened the hearing to Commission members for further comments and questions. Commission members had no further comments or questions.

Mr. Kabler asked the pleasure of the Commission.

Ms. Manson stated in as much as application HTZC 19-08 conforms to the intent of the Harlem Township Comprehensive Plan and appears to meet all applicable aspects of the Harlem

Township Zoning Resolution, I move that the Hadem Township Zoning Commission recommend to the Harlem Township Board of Trustees said application be approved. Mr. Needham

seconded the motion. Mr. Kabler asked if there was any discussion on the motion. Being none, Mr. Kabler asked for a roll call vote on the motion. Robin Lobenstein, aye. Joni Manson, aye. Mike Kabler, aye. Alan Czako, aye. Tom Nied, aye. Motion carried.

Mr. Kabler stated the application would be forwarded to the Trustees who will meet on May

15, 2019. At that time the Trustees will set a date to hold their hearing on the application. The Trustees hearing must be held within 30 days of receipt of the application. There will be a 30 day waiting period once the Trustees make a decision on the application before a zoning permit is issued to allow the public the opportunity to referendum the decision.

Mr. Kabler asked if there were any further comments or questions. Being none, Mr. Kabler

adjourned the hearing at 7:27 p.m.
